Confirmation
2025/2026 Confirmation Programme is now concluded. For the first time in so many years, the Sacrament of Confirmation was conferred in the parish church on nine (9) young people – 6 ladies and 4 gentlemen – on May the 31st 2026 by the Kent Area Bishop, Bishop Paul Hendricks.
Interest in the next programme is now being welcomed from young people between 13 and 17 years of age. Please contact either the Parish Office or the Coordinator of the programme, Revd John Fogarty if you or your ward is interested.
First Holy Communion
The 2025/2026 programme has been concluded, In a beautiful ceremony presided over by the Parish Priest, Fr Livie Onyebuchi msp, 21 of our children made their First Holy Communion on May the 9th 2026. The children had their Thanksgiving Mass on Sunday the 16th. The parish is very grateful to Theresa Austin, Revd John Fogarty, Tanya Fernandes, and Ijey Okolie who prepared the children, and to our Catholic primary, St Joseph’s.
The next programme will start in September 2026. Parents who want their children to take part in the programme are advised to make sure that their children start to identify themselves to the Parish Clergy after the weekend Mass, starting from the weekend of 12/13 September 2026. The programme is for the children of the active families of the parish.
RCIA
The 2025/2026 programme ended at the Easter Vigil, with 3 Baptisms and 5 Confirmations. All the catechumens were also admitted to the Holy Eucharist.
Interest in the 2026/2027 is already being received. The programme remains open to adult Catholics who want to make their First holy Communion or Confirmation, and to adult non-Catholics who want to be received into the full communion of the Catholic Church. The programme will end with the reception of the Easter Sacraments during the 2027 Vigil Mass of Easter.
